Daniel Davidson – RAF Veteran

I arrived at Avondale House on 5 February 2016; at the time I had hit rock bottom following a turbulent period in my life with family problems resulting in homelessness and having to sofa surf. At the time I didn’t have any idea what I was going to do or how I was going to move on. I was out of work, relying on friends for somewhere to stay and couldn’t see a way out. I was signposted to Avondale House by SSAFA and following an interview with the staff offered a flat at Avondale House. The relief was immediate when I knew I had a secure base to get my life back on track. When I saw the flat and that I had a furniture pack including a bed I knew things could improve and I now had hope and a chance to move on. With the help and support of Launchpad I have been able to get back on track, I have a job and a year later I am now looking to move out of Avondale House to my own place, they provided me with a home, the tools and support to allow me to rebuild my life. I can't thank them enough for the support and help they have gave me while been here. Thank you for everything you have certainly been my Launchpad and I am now looking forward to the future.
