Lucy Perriam was educated in Newcastle and graduated from Girton College Cambridge in 1985. She worked for two years as an account manager for J Walter Thompson Advertising in London.  She became one of the first TA Public Information Officers, before being commissioned as a full time officer into the WRAC. She came top of her Sandhurst course.  Following a series of postings, including Adjutant of the HQ Signals Regiment in Berlin, she retired and worked for several years in Primary schools in East Lothian, as well as bringing up her family.  Since 2008 she has been employed as a private PA in Edinburgh, has been a volunteer member of the Children’s Panel.  In 2013 she trained as a mentor with homeless charity The Rock Trust.  She became a Trustee of Launchpad in 2016.
