For the past 30 years, Philip Mixer has successfully combined a career as a full time General Practitioner in a Yorkshire market town where he is the senior partner, with a career in the Army Reserve, culminating in his appointment as Deputy Director of Army Medical Services in the rank of Brigadier.   

His medical interests include teaching and training and within his practice he heads an Occupational Health Consultancy.  In addition he has held a part time judicial appointment within the Tribunal Service and was recently appointed to the War Pensions & Armed Forces Compensation Chamber (WPAFCC). 

He has been fortunate in being recognised for his services with appointment as an Honorary Physician to her Majesty the Queen, a Deputy Lieutenant in the East Riding of Yorkshire and receiving the Queen’s Volunteer Reserve Medal.
