Both Launchpad houses were refurbished before opening, with nearly a milion pounds being spent on each house.  Avondale House refurbishment was funded by the Byker Community Trust and The Armed Forces Community Covenant Fund; Speke House refurbishment was covered by the Armed Forces Covenant LIBOR Fund.  Scroll this page to see photographs from each house.
